Childhood trauma can lead to dissociative amnesia, a coping mechanism where the mind protects itself from pain by hiding memories. This protective mechanism can leave clues in triggers, fears, and emotional reactions, allowing for healing to begin when we understand the reasons behind our forgetfulness. By understanding this connection, we can take the first step towards emotional healing and inner growth. Betteroo on Instagram: "The hardest part of motherhood isn’t the exhaustion. It’s not the mess. It’s not the noise. It’s not the touched-out feeling or the mental load that never stops running. The hardest part is that you’re falling in love with someone who’s already leaving. Every version of them — the newborn curled on your chest, the toddler with the messy cheeks, the little voice calling “mama” down the hall — they all disappear. Quietly. Without warning. Replaced by someone new you’ll love just as much. And you never get to say goodbye. One day you’ll pick her up. And you won’t know it’s the last time until it already was. So tonight, even though you’re exhausted... Even though you haven’t eaten since noon. Even though you locked yourself in the bathroom just to breathe. Hold them a little longer. The days are long. But mama — they’re numbered. 🤍 Save this for the hard days. Tag a mom who needs to hear this tonight. . . . #motherhood #momlife #momtok #theygrowsofast #motherhoodunplugged #momsofinsta #motherhoodjourney #raisinglittles #presentoverperfect #motherhoodthroughinstagram"

Motherhood is a bittersweet experience, marked by the impermanence of every stage. As your child grows, you're constantly left to cherish the memories of the past and look forward to the unknown. This post shares the hard truth of motherhood, urging moms to hold onto their little ones a little longer and make the most of every moment.
